Beetroot - Pablo F1
This variety produces top quality, smooth skinned, round roots with a dark red skin. They are ideal for eating as succulent baby beets as well as mature, and are delicious in a summer salad. You can even store the larger roots for winter use without them turning woody.
Sow outdoors. Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Make shallow channels (drills) in the soil 30cm apart. Sow thinly, 1cm deep in the drills. Lightly cover the seed with soil. Thin out the plants, when the seedlings are large enough to handle, to about 5-7cm apart.
