Antirrhinum - Admiral Crimson
This is an early-flowering snapdragon that is elegant and easy to grow, producing crimson flowers on strong stems that reach a height of around 120cm. It is ideal as a cut flower or in a sunny border.
Sow from February to March on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Keep at a temperature of 20-25C. After sowing, do not cover as the light helps germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm apart in well-drained soil in full sun.
