French Parsley - Petroselinum Crispum
This is the variety that is used all over Europe. It features flat dark green leaves with the most outstanding flavour of all the varieties.
Sow early indoors in pots or trays under glass at 13C. Thin to 5-6cm apart before gradually hardening off and planting out in April 25cm apart. Alternatively, sow later outdoors direct into the growing site 1cm deep. Gradually thin to the eventual spacing of 25cm. The thinning can be potted for winter use. Always harvest by cutting 2cm above the soil to encourage new growth.
