Winter Squash - Crown Prince
This classic New Zealand Winter squash with grey skin, bright orange flash and a sweet, rich nutty flavour is renowned for its eating qualities. The plants
make large vines and have good storage ability. The fruits weigh around 3-4kg.
Sow the seeds undercover from April onward, place the seeds on their sides to avoid rotting off at about the depth of the seed. Keep in warm until germination in about a week. Harden off before planting out after the last frost. The seeds can be sold direct when the soil warms up in late spring
