Common Foxglove has spikes of purple spotted pink flowers and reaches a height of 5 feet. It is a biennial or short lived perennial. Foxglove flowers are particularly attractive to bumble bees as a source of pollen and nectar and as an overnight roosting site.
Sow in spring or summer on top of the compost. The seed needs light to germinate. Keep at 15 - 20C. Harden off and plant out after the frost has passed.
