Brussel Sprouts - Red Bull
Red Bull was once a novelty but is now increasing in popularity. The red sprouts deepen in colour as the weather gets colder. The plant produces medium-sized buttons with an unusual nutty flavour.
Sow the seed from March to April thinly into pots or trays under glass at 13C or sow outside in shallow drills 2cm deep in a seed bed. Plant out into final growing position at 60-90cm apart in well firmed soil in May to early June. Ready to harvest from December to February.
