Squash - Honey Bear
An AAS award winner, Honey Bear produces small fruits that are just the right size to half for single servings. This acorn type squash is deliciously starchy and sweet which makes them ideal for baking with their skins on. It produces a compact bush plant, with an average 3-4 fruits on each. This type is resistant to powdery mildew and has a maturity of approximately 85 days from sowing.
Sow in pots or modules, two seeds in each under protection in late March to June, just covering the seeds. Harden off and plant out 60cm apart and 1m between rows. Ensure all danger of frost has gone.
