Smooth oval shaped dark green leaves. Slow to bolt. Bred specifically for spring, autumn and winter cropping. 100 seeds Pick when young and add raw to salads, and as long as the leaves are picked regularly and young they will remain tender and mild of flavour. The water on the leaves after a thorough washing is sufficent for cooking them. Sow every few weeks from March onwards for a regular supply. Sow the seeds thinly 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart, thin as soon as possible to leave 15cm between plants. Water regularly. Can be sown during August and September for spring harvesting.

WHERE TO SOW
Sow direct into open ground 2cm (3/4â€Â) deep in rows 30cm (12â€Â) apart. For late sowings, some protection may be needed.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
As seedlings appear, gradually thin out until plants are 15cm (6â€Â) apart. Keep well watered to avoid premature bolting.
