Swede - Best of All

This is a very hardy variety of swede which will produce large, globe-shaped roots. The roots have purple skin and yellow flesh with excellent flavour.

Sow direct, from May to June, outdoors into shallow drills 2cm deep and 45cm between the rows. Gradually thin the seedlings as they grow to a final spacing of 10-15cm apart. Water regularly to avoid woody roots. A very hardy vegetable so can be harvested as required. Ready to harvest from October onwards.
