An old favourite giving early crops from August onwards. Good flavour and high quality cobs with golden yellow kernels.

WHERE TO SOW
Early sowings can be made in modules or peat pots under glass at 21°C. Later sowings direct into the growing site in blocks with 45cm (18") between plants.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Module or peat pot raised seedlings should be transplanted when all chance of frost has passed. Do not sow in rows but in blocks 45cm (18") square to aid the pollination by wind. Cobs are ready when the tassels turn brown.

One of the few vegetables that freezes really well. The perfect solution to a glut of cobs in the Autumn.

A good source of pro-vitamin A, vitamins B and C. Gluten-free and a good supply of fibre and protein.
