This is a perennial grass which can also be used as an annual. It has leaves spanning to around 15cm and produces silky seed heads from early summer onwards. The grass reaches the height of around 20 cm.
Sow the seed direct in situ from mid to late spring. The seedlings can be thinned out/transplanted to be spaced around 20cm apart.
