Grass - Pony Tails - Stipa Tenuissima
This is a perennial grass that gets its name from the feathery plumes that look like pony tails. This grass is idea for pots, patio and bedding plants. It flowers in June and July. It is best to protect this perennial from frost.
These seeds usually germinate in two weeks but can be erratic but this grass but well worth the effort. Sow from early spring until mid-summer. Keep in a temperature of around 16C If there is no germination place in a freezer for up 3 - 6 weeks before returning to it germinating environment. This cycle may need to be repeated after two months.
