Canterbury Bells, much as its name would suggest produces large, bell-shaped flowers with the appearance of a cups and saucers in shades of pink, blue and white. The plant will grow to an overall height of approximately 75cm and flowers from May to July.

Sow from April to June. Sow the fine seeds thinly in trays or pots in good compost, 1cm deep. Place in a cold frame or unheated glasshouse. As soon as the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays 10cm apart. Plant out in the flowering site during September or October, 30cm apart. Flowers from May to July the following year.
