Impatiens - Super Elfin Mixes
This is a blended mixture of many colours, which are very early into flower. The plant has good basal branching habit, producing a spreading carpet-like effect, with exceptional flower size.
Sow from February to April on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots and trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C. After sowing do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 10-21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm apart or plant into baskets and containers filled wth good quality potting compost. Flower from June onwards.
