Basil - Purple - Ocimum Basilicum Purpureum
This variety features deep purple leaves with outstanding aroma and taste.
Sow inside in April in trays or pots using soil-less compost. A temperature of about 25C is needed for germination. Alternatively, sow outside not before the second week of June. Prick out when large enough to handle and grow on in containers in good soil. It likes full sun and shelter from the wind.
