Rue - Ruta Graveolens
This is the most decorative of plants for the herb garden, with blue/grey lacy foliage that can be an irritant to sensitive skins. It grows to a height of 60cm.
Sow in April/May outside in a shallow drill, covering lightly with soil and watering well. Plant out when large enough. It prefers well-drained, alkaline soil. Waterlogging over winter will kill Rue. It prefers full sun but will tolerate light shade.
