Green Manure - Mustard White
Mustard Agricultural White is one of the fastest growing green manures. It is susceptible to clubroot so do not use where this is a problem. Dig in before flowering, which can be as little as 3-4 weeks to add humus to the soil.
Sow the seeds from March to September. Broadcast at 4gm per square metre or in shallow rows 15cm apart. The growing time is around 4 weeks, and suits reasonably moist and fertile soil. Dig in before flowering.
