Wild Flower - Great Mullein - Verbascum Thapsus
This is a statuesque plant with rosettes of felty grey leaves at ground level and very tall spires of densely crowded, single yellow flowers. The whole plant is covered with softish white wool. It is a good plant for the back of borders or as a striking feature. It flowers from June to August and grows to a height of 30cm-200cm.
Sow outside in well-drained soil in a sunny position. The plants may be transplanted and once established, it will self sow.
