Zinnia - Profusion Mix
These easy-to-grow dwarf and uniform plants have a vigorous habit and strong basal branching. Tolerant to heat, and resistant to diseases throughout the year, this variety adds an extra dimension to gardening. It grows to a height of 25-30cm.
Sow the seeds in March and April in pots or trays under glass at 20C, covering lightly with sifted compost. May sowings can be made thinly direct into the flowering site. Glasshouse sowings should be pricked off when 5-6cm tall into 7cm peat pots. Outdoor sowings should be thinned as they grow to 10cm apart. Zinnias do not like root disturbance so peat pots are beneficial. Alternatively, sow outdoors in April under cloches to get an earlier start.
