Silene Robin White Breast
This variety produces a myriad of white flowers above silvery wintergreen leaves. It has a very long flowering season and grows to a height of 20cm.
Sow under glass at 20-25C in a good seed compost, covering the seeds lightly with vermiculite after sowing. Keep soil slightly moist but not wet. It requires light for germination, but avoid direct sunlight by shading the seeds after sowing. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into trays and grow on. Gradually harden off before transplanting out into the flowering site. If sown between January to April, they will flower the first year, and for sowings July to August, flowering will occur the following season.
