Salad Leaves - Amaranth Red
The magic of this variety is that the leaves become intense red as they develop, which makes it an excellent choice for added colour in salads. It is more vigorous than the standard green type, and you can use the leaves individually or pick as sprigs.
Sow all year round. For baby leaves sow thinly from April to September, 0.5cm deep in rows 25-30cm apart. Sow seed in succession every 2-3 weeks for a continuous supply of fresh baby leaves.
