African Marigold - Crackerjack
This is a highly popular open pollinated variety. Crackerjack is a mixture of large flowers in a variety of lemon and orange shades. The flowers grows to the height of 75 cm.
Sow from January to April under glass in pots at around 22C. Sowing in April can be made direct into open ground. As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out into trays or pots spacing 5cm (2") apart. Gradually harden off and plant out from mid-May onwards 30cm (12") apart. Dead-heading will prolong life and increase flowering ability.
