The dark green buttons have excellent flavour and keep well on the uniform plants and they have good resistance to lodging. In a good season they can even be harvested in September. This is a short type suited to exposed sites.
Sow from the end of March through to early May in modules. It requires a temperature of 10C or more to germinate well. Plant out at spacing of 60cm x 60cm from late May onwards.
