Rudbeckia – Irish Eyes
This variety grows large, golden-yellow flowers with distinct green eyes on strong base-branched plants. It makes an excellent cut flower, and is long lasting in water.
Sow from March to May thinly in trays in an unheated glasshouse or cold frame. As soon as large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm (2") apart and grow on. Gradually harden off before planting in the flowering site 45cm (18") apart. The plants mature from July onwards. Earlier flowers can be obtained by sowing in February under glass at 16° C.
