Sweet Pea - Queen Alexandria
This variety grows carmine-red grandiflora type flowers. It has a good scent and holds is colour well.
Sow in September in flowering site around 2cm deep. Sow later in pots or deep modules, such as root-trainers, 2 seeds to a module or 5 seeds to a pot. Place in cold frame to over winter. Sweet peas like moist, fertile soil with good drainage in a sunny spot. Repeated dead-heading prolongs the flowering period.
