Carrot - Bangor
This is an outstanding main crop variety, rewarding you with a heavy crop of high quality, large roots with excellent colour and flavour. It stores very well for winter use.
Sow outdoors. Before sowing, prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Make shallow drills in the soil 30cm apart. Sow thinly, 1cm deep in the drills. Lightly cover the seed with soil. Thin out the plants to about 5cm apart when the seedlings are large enough to handle. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods.
