Radish - Celesta F1
This is an outstanding, short topped, red-skinned round root with crisp white flesh. The roots remain crisp for several days after pulling with no pithiness (spongy flesh) and are resistant to downy mildew.
Sow under glass in winter, or outdoors in spring and summer. Before sowing, prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Make shallow channels (drills) in the soil 30cm apart. Thin out the plants to about 2.5cm apart when the seedlings are large enough to handle. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Keep the plants cool and moist to prevent running to seed.
