Pea – Prelado
This is the earliest variety to pod from a spring sowing for your first dish of the season, and it produces a bumper crop of double pods, with an average 7 tasty peas per pod. The plants have high resistance to fusarlum wilt.
Sow in succession from early spring onwards for fresh picking from May to July. Sow seeds 5cm apart between the seeds along each row, with a 90cm spacing between the rows. Support plants with chicken wire, twiggy sticks or pea netting. Water plants regularly when in flower as this will improve the crop. As an early maturing variety, the peas will be ready to harvest about 9-10 weeks from sowing.
