Organic Chervil - Curled
This is one of the most deliciously flavoured culinary herbs, widely used on the continent for its rich savoury flavour resembling that of caraway, which blends well with fish and meat. Chervil is one of the few hardy annual herbs for all-year-round use. The leaves can be chopped and used in salads, stews, and dressings, or used as a garnish in the same way as parsley. It grows to a height of 45cm.
Sow outdoors from March to August, directly into prepared soil in semi shade. Sow seeds thinly 13mm deep, in rows 30cm apart, and later thin the seedlings to 15cm apart. Alternatively, sow indoors in pots on the windowsill for fresh leaves virtually all year round. Plants can quickly run to flower if not kept watered, and regular sowings are required for a constant supply.
