Organic Runner Bean - Enorma
Runner Bean Enorma produces bumper crops of very long straight, slender pods and beans with a fine texture and first class flavour. Pods grow up to 50cm in length.
Sow from May to July outdoors, directly into rich, well prepared soil in a sunny spot. Provide support for climbing habit, either a row or wigwam of 180cm canes or netting, sow 2 seeds against each cane, 4cm deep. Seeds can also be sown individually in small pots or cells under glass at 18-20C from mid April to transplant outdoors once all risk of frost has passed. Keep watered, particularly once flowering commences, adding a mulch during hottest, dry periods. Pick pods regularly whilst young for heaviest yields and to extend the season.
