Organic Broad Bean - Aquadulce Claudia
This is a traditional autumn sowing variety to over-winter for the first dish of the season. It produces long, well-filled slender pods, and grows to a height of 90-100cm.
Sow from October to March in well-prepared soil in a sunny spot, 5cm deep in double rows, allowing 23-30cm between plants, and 60cm between each row. Support with stout canes and string. Pinch out the tips of the plants when in full flower to help the pods swell and to reduce infestation by blackfly.
