Parsley - Hamburg Turnip Rooted
This variety features two vegetables in one, making this a no waste vegetable. The dark green, plain leaves have a stronger flavour than curly parsley. The tapering white roots have good winter hardiness and can be lifted as required.
Sow from March to May at 4 week intervals. Sow thinly, 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially during dry periods. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 10-15cm apart for optimum root development.
