Aster - Ostrich Plume Mixed
This variety is outstanding as a garden cut flower. It is early flowering with large feathery blooms in a mixture of bright colours on branching stems making them perfect for cutting.
Sow seed on the surface of the compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of dry vermiculite or finely sieved compost. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them individually into 7.5cm pots or multi-cell trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions by putting them outside for a few hours a day for a few weeks.
