This variety features flatter, globe-shaped roots with purple crowns and white bases. They are ideal as baby turnips when the taste is sweet and succulent. Dark green, erect leaves can be steamed as 'greens'. Turnip Atlantic is great for growing in containers.
Sow seeds from March to August. Sow seeds thinly direct outside or in containers, 13mm deep. Sow regularly for fresh roots throughout spring, summer and autumn. Thin as necessary for small, succulently sweet roots. Keep well watered during dry weather.
