Foxglove - Milk Chocolate
This is a delightful species originating from Spain and Portugal. It produces elegant flower spikes covered in small chocolate trumpets circling each stem and attracting beneficial insects.
Sow from early summer to mid-winter at 18-20C in a good seed compost. Do not cover the seed with compost. Germination usually takes 15-30 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant and grow on in cooler conditions. Plant out 6cm apart in sun or part shade on ordinary garden soil.
