Brussels Sprout - Revenge F1
This is a high quality variety with good levels of disease resistance and a vigorous, sturdy growth habit, producing heavy crops of dark-green, sweet buttons. Brussels Sprout Revenge's later mid-season maturity means Christmas harvest, buttons will also hold exceptionally well until February.
Sow seeds late March to mid-April, thinly in a well-prepared seedbed, 12mm deep in rows 30cm apart. Keep well-watered and cover with fine netting to deter birds and cabbage caterpillar attack. Transplant when large enough to handle into well prepared, firm soil allowing 75cm apart between plants each way. Plant firmly to reduce risk of poor quality buttons and plants leaning over. Water until established. Prefers an open site on fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Harvest mid-December to February. Good holding qualities.
