Carrot - Primo F1
This is one of the earliest and best quality as a 'bunching carrot' ready in under 12 weeks from sowing. It is ideal for containers, outdoors and early sowings in frames or under glass, and it produces rich orange, smooth, coreless, juicy and sweet roots with good bolting resistance. It is perfect for successional sowing, for a regular healthy snack for children.
Sow from March to July in containers or outdoors every 4 weeks. Sow thinly 13mm deep in containers of multipurpose compost, or outdoors in drills 30cm apart. Thin seedlings as necessary, allowing about 1cm between roots for 'little fingers' or slightly wider for larger roots. Keep well watered for best quality roots.
