Sow direct outdoors in well-prepared and raked soil. Prefers a position in full sun. Sow thinly 1cm deep in a seedbed, in drills 23cm apart. Transplant when large enough to handle, about 8 weeks from sowing, 23cm between each plant in the row and 45cm between rows.
