Californian Poppy - Mixed
This is an easy to grow plant superb for bedding, borders and containers growing in a wide range of soils, in sun and rain. Planted en masse, plants bear a profusion of brilliantly coloured, silky blooms all summer long. It is excellent for covering sunny banks and makes a good weed suppressant. It is ideal for children.
Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sow 3mm deep, in rows 30cm apart, or scatter seed in beds or borders as a gap filler. Lightly cover the seed. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm apart. Water regularly until plants are established and especially during dry periods.
