Nasturtium - Climbing Mixed
This is a vigorous, quick-growing climber for long lasting summer colour, which is excellent for scrambling over walls or covering fences, trellis and obelisks. The frilly blooms are produced continually over the summer in a bright colour range including bicolours.
Sow seeds outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sow 20mm deep, in rows 30cm apart. Thin out young plants to 23cm apart. Water regularly until plants are fully established. Growing nasturtiums is easy and once established they require little attention. For earlier flowering sow in 7.5cm pots of free-draining compost. Place at 15-20C until germination. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after risk of frost. Before planting into containers, ensure plants are well rooted in their pots.
