Carrot - Tendersnax F1 Hybrid
Carrot Tendersnax is an early maturity sister line to Sugarsnax producing slightly tapered, 13-15cm blunt ended, smooth, rich orange roots. It has an outstanding juicy and tender sweet flavour and is delicious eaten raw in salads, used for juicing or as a cooked vegetable.
Sow at 4 week intervals thinly, 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart. Thin seedlings to 5cm apart when large enough to handle, to reduce risk of carrot root fly attack. Keep well-watered for best quality roots. Later sowings can be lifted and stored.
