Cauliflower - Clapton F1 Hybrid
This is the first cauliflower with Clubroot resistance. Cauliflower Clapton is a versatile late summer to late autumn maturing variety, depending on its sowing time. It produces excellent flavoured quality, uniform, large, solid and deep white heads.
Sow seeds from late April to June thinly into well raked soil, 1cm deep in drills 23cm apart. Alternatively, sow seeds thinly, 7mm deep in pots filled with a free-draining compost, under glass. Lightly cover seed with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Transplant these sowings into 7.5cm pots and grow on in a cool glasshouse or cold frame until large enough to plant outside. Thin seedlings when large enough to handle, and transplant about 5 weeks from sowing, 6cm apart each way. Plant firmly, water well until established.
