Lettuce - Chartwell
This is the tastiest of all the Romaine lettuces we have ever trialled. Lettuce Chartwell is renowned for its crunchy texture and the sweetest flavour. Excellent downy mildew resistance, with good bolting tolerance and heart quality during hotter summer conditions. Romaine Lettuce Chartwell is ideal for spring and summer sowings. It is suitable for cut and come again, baby leaf or mature hearts.
Sow seeds thinly at regular intervals, 1cm deep in drills 30-38cm apart. Thin seedlings to 30cm apart for full hearted lettuce or to 15cm for baby leaf or cut and come again salad. Water well during dry periods.

Shipping & Delivery
Normally all orders made by 1pm on working days will be shipped the same day although it may be a bit longer at busy times. If you have ordered larger quantities of commercial seeds delivery can be slightly longer. If we encounter any problems we will contact you.
We ship with Royal Mail or for large items where we use DPD or similar reliable carrier.
