Experience a flavour sensation with this extra sweet carrot, which also contains high levels of beta carotene. Carrot Sugarsnax 54 produces long, 25cm roots of exceptional quality, so you can just lift the roots, wash and serve in chunks in salads.
Sow from April to June, at 4 week intervals. Sow seeds thinly, 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart. Thin seedlings to 5cm apart when large enough to handle, to reduce risk of carrot root fly attack. Keep well-watered for best quality roots. Later sowings can be lifted and stored.
