Broad Bean - Medes
Medes produces white seeded pods upto 15cm long. The highly productive variety of Broad Bean Medes produces medium sized pods, each containing 5-6 tender, sweet, juicy beans. It is suitable for spring sowing and highly recommended for freezing.
Sow the seeds at any time in the open ground from spring to early summer, or under cloches from autumn through to late winter, 5cm deep, 23cm apart in rows 30cm apart. Any fertile, well-drained soil is ideal. As soon as 4 clusters of bloom are showing, remove all further flower spikes to induce earlier crops and help prevent blackfly.

Normally all orders made by 1pm on working days will be shipped the same day although it may be a bit longer at busy times. If you have ordered larger quantities of commercial seeds delivery can be slightly longer. If we encounter any problems we will contact you.
