Brussels Sprout - Bosworth F1
This is British breeding at its best! Maturing before our very popular Trafalgar, Brussels Sprout Bosworth F1 has excellent holding ability, to give firm, smooth dark green, sweet tasting buttons, well-spaced on the stem for easy picking. Initial trials show good downy mildew tolerance.
Sow seeds March to April, thinly into a well-prepared seed bed. Make successional sowings, 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart. Thin seedlings to 1cm apart when large enough to handle, then later transplant to final position, allowing 75cmx75cm between plants. Water well until plants are established. Prefers a moist, rich, well-drained soil. Harvest November to December. Plants can be harvested for an 8 week period.
