Tomatoberry - Garden F1 Hybrid
This indeterminate variety produces cascading trusses of deliciously sweet, dark-red, strawberry-shaped fruits. The small, 15g fruits have an outstanding flavour, ideal for adding to children's lunchboxes, salads and sandwiches or just pop into your mouth and enjoy! It is early ripening and crops heavily throughout the summer. Tomato Berry is best for the greenhouse, but will grow in a sunny spot outdoors.
Place seeds on the surface of a free-draining compost and cover with about 6mm of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18-21C until after germination which takes 7-10 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm pots. Plant in the greenhouse in individual large pots, or three plants per grow bag when 2cm high. Can be planted outdoors, 45cm apart once all frost risk has passed. Plants require side-shooting and support for the best yields. Water and feed plants regularly with a high potash feed once the first truss has set.
