Strawberry - Sarian F1
This is a new generation of ever-bearing strawberries from seed. Strawberry Sarian produces an abundance of large, firm, bright red fruits, throughout the summer until the frosts, from an early spring sowing. The sweet juicy fruits contain high sugar and Vitamin C levels. Compact, well branched plants develop runners before flowering, and also bear fruit. Strawberry Sarian is ideal in baskets or containers.
Sow seeds from January to April. Germinate at 20-25C on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seeds. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 3cm apart or plant direct into baskets or containers. It prefers well drained soil in full sun.
