Geranium - Maverick Star
From the stable of top quality Geraniums comes this impressive strain which boasts attractive, bicoloured blooms of vibrant pink and white. It is earlier flowering, and produces more flower stems than conventional Geraniums.
Sow January to March. Germinate at a constant soil temperature of 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 3-21 days.
Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. After 5-6 weeks, move to 1cm (4in) pots. Begin regular liquid feeds 3-4 weeks after final potting. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 1-15 days before planting out after all ris
