With an exciting and colourful range of robust, densely packed flower spikes produced in early summer, this traditional Lupin will enhance any garden scene and looks particularly at home in the cottage garden. Height: 90-120cm.
Soak seed overnight before sowing. Germinate at 20-30C on the surface of a good free-draining, damp seed compost. Apply a layer of compost or vermiculite, 3mm deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 18-21 days. Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm pots and place in cooler conditions. After all risk of frost, plant out 3cm apart.
